Hi all! My name's John, and Im from Monroe in Green County. I've been super interested in finding morels for several years, and been out foraging for them only a bit in the last 3, but have successfully found a handful. This year, I've been hit with the itch hard, and am looking forward to getting out in the woods. Already been out a smidge, just to see what I can see. If there are any people that live in this area that want to get together and go out, I would love to. I just find that having a partner to tromp around with is even more fun that being alone. I wanted to say thank you to you guys, too, for making such an upbeat, positive, helpful community instead of The-Site-That-Shall-Not-Be-Named... That place is like the 5th circle of hell. I hope to expand my knowledge of mycology, thanks to y'all. =) -John

Hi Johnbon! You are too funny! I love your new name for the other board! Very excellent and so accurate as well! I'm up in the Madison area but if you need help, let me know otherwise many of the folks on here are very very helpful. Good luck this season!

Welcome to the forums johnbon! I don't think there are many people here on the forums yet that are from that part of the state (if any). It's an added pleasure to have you here then. We are always on standby if you have any questions though like EM said.
