I have been extremely busy this summer, but got out to my chanterelle spots Sunday morning. The first spot produced two quarts of apricot chants, with hundreds of really nice, beefy small chants sprouting. Next weekends picking there will be primo.Several other sure thing spots were barren, so I think they are just starting to ramp up . No yellow foot ,goldens, or trumpets just yet. Southern Marinette county, public lands. Skeets, thick. Good luck.

This dry weather is killing my mushroom hunting.....as well as my yard. At least I don't have to mow, which gives me more time to hunt mushrooms, if there were any.....DAMN IT!!!!

Up here in Marinette county, we have gotten timely rains and I have been picking plenty of apricot chanterelles. I still haven't checked for goldens or yellowfoot, but suspect they are out also.good luck.

I found a few golden chants in Polk County last weekend, hopefully with all the rain we've gotten here lately they will be all over the place soon.

This past weekend I checked several spots for different types and can report the at least up here in Marinette county that all types of chants are in full swing. Found black trumpets, goldens, apricots, and yellow foot. Only picking enough for eating fresh, as my stash of dryed ones from last year is good. No sign of hens yet. Get out, and good luck.

This weekend is going to be the weekend to be in the woods picking. Picked Thursday evening, and the goldens are flushing at peak. They were quite literally everywhere. Lots of worms, but the button stage shrooms were vermen free.Topped my bucket off with a pile of apricots
