Thought some of you may be interested in this game. This is really more a hunting simulator than a game but you can play for free. The reason I am posting this here is they just added mushrooms to this game and if you care not to hunt animals you can just walk around and look for mushrooms. When you find one you enter it in the "huntermate" and it tells you what species it is.
If you have a decent computer/video card this game is absolutely stunning and beautiful. The free version gives you one island to walk and you can literally walk miles and hours. It may not work on older computers so well but they do have settings you can play with to get it to work. If your kids are playing some of the recent high def games this should play well.
You must download the game first to your computer so there is setup time involved.
