I might be going up to MN this weekend, and wouldnt be able to make the foray. ...Its depending on a few circumstances, so Im not sure. Im going if I can make it though. I also agree though that we might want to reschedule to another week or two away.

Any other input from those that hunt this area about putting it off a bit. I can't make it the week of the 21st, but feel free to go on without me!

heh, I would even be so bold to say that we should go on the 28th. Im sure things will be much more "in the swing" of it the following weekend. Im expecting the season to go until the end of may at least.

I agree with Wildmushroom, I think it might be too early to meet up for a successful foray. I was out today and found about twenty tiny dried out morels, two keepers, a bunch of baby ramps and a tick. It's so dry. I'm personally waiting five days after the next substantial rain to go out hunting again so I guess in almost two weeks I'll go. Well, if we actually get rain this weekend that is...Man, I hope it just dumps all weekend long. I HOPE I can keep off this board for a while so that I'm not temped to go out again. It's very disheartening to work so hard and find centimeter sized morels that are half dry.

That sounds fine with me, but I will personally be booked the rest of the month. I still wouldn't mind organizing it for all of you though.

How about something at the very beginning of May? Further north?

If you guys have room for another newbie (I have never even seen a morel) I'd be happy to go. I'd like to learn this coolness and share with my daughter.

We're camping the 9th through the 13th. Otherwise I'm up for any day or place. Just let me know. Hope it rains here soon.
