The 'False-morels' forum should be merged into 'Morels'. There should also be sub-forums for Chicken and Hen-of-the-Woods. Just a thought. With the fall shrooming season approaching, I'd also like to suggest a honey mushroom sub-forum. FYI - I know of someone who found a couple cauliflower mushrooms growing up north in mixed woods!!! I hope I can find that one this year as I hear it's pretty tasty!

Maybe a books section where we can discuss mushroom books of all sorts. These boards are really starting to take a great shape here now and I would like to thank you Dan for all your hard work. If I think of anything else I will be sure to let you know.

I'm going to turn on a feature of the board that will appear at the top of the page. I think it displays the 10 newest posts without having to go into each. I will leave it up for a little while, let me know if you like it or if I should remove it.
Thanks!

nice find omth!!! I have been wondering the same about other mushrooms... for example, aborted entolomas... maybe just a thread called "Other Mushrooms" would suffice and we could start individual threads under that.

I cooked them with garlic and onion in butter... not my favorite. I ate a few and froze the rest for future using... upstairs neighbor tried them too... she likes the caps but not the stems and also found them odd to eat. how do you like to eat them Patrick? Cause they are pretty bland this way!

I just pan fry them in butter and they were really flavorful. They had a very traditional store bought mushroom flavor but crisped up very nicely because of their thin-ness. I've only had them once and it was several years ago.

How about a section related to arts & crafts? A place where people can talk about mushrooms used in arts and crafts such as the various mushrooms used to make dyes and paper. Artists Conk works. Carvings, sculptures, and paintings... Just a thought as I like crafting/making things fungi related.
