This time last year I think I was really thinking about going hunting. I think it was mid-march when I went on my first walk. I have high hopes for this year!!!!!! I live in a new area and it is right in morel country.....WOHOO! I can even hunt my own land! That's right! Private!
Man, May seems like a long ways away now.....

For a fun winter activity I have been walking my mushroom spots looking for shed antlers. It helps me know the areas better, I get some time outside, and it is good mental practice looking for items that can be easily overlooked.
