I'm thinking about making an app for identifying native trees and possibly plants and fungi's. Obviously an app like this would require a large amount of information and probably take quite some time to make. How interested would you guys be in an app like this? I think it would be great for all types of foragers, new and experienced. If anyone would be interested in an app like this and would like to help with providing good places for me to gather the needed information that would be awesome! Looking forward to hearing from you all!

Check out the Virginia Tech Tree Identification app. I have it on droid, but I'm sure it's available for iphone too.

It is national though, not just Wisconsin. It includes trees, shrubs, bramble, and vines and can use your address or GPS and elevation to narrow the possible species.
