My brother and I took a ride up north to sands Michigan to do some blue berry picking. We were 5 miles north of Sands and picked two spots never getting morethan 400 yards from his car. Sands is south of K.I. Sawyer air force have and south of Marquette. Best picking I have ever experienced. Size and quantity. Jack pine and red pine plantations Public property everywhere.Keep moving and you will run into commercial size berries.

Wow, them are some nice sized berries. I've been finding wild ones up here, but nowhere near that big or that many. Attachments:

Picked 12 quarts Friday.Last trip up there for me. Berries will start to go downhill this week, but still plenty. As a side note, the thimbleberry plants are full, and 1/3_1/2 ripe. Was munching on them, yummy.
