I wonder if there is a way that we could put "pins" on it when different counties become active.

Dan, I'm sure the folks at Proboards would have an easy way to do that.
However, if you have the map saved in Word, you can go to the "insert" tab, then into "shapes" and from the drop down box you can choose from block arrows, or call outs. (You know the bubble thing over carton characters when they are talking?) Text, or dates can be entered into the call out shape.
Also in the insert tab there is a "Links" where you can create a hyperlink for pictures. The pictures would need to be saved in another area for you to pull from.
This would mean some extra work for you, but I think it could be done. Good Luck. And, if not this year, maybe next year.
