Ok in vilas county they are up good in the open areas along the roads, rivers, and lakes. All the places that get good sun. Hardly any bugs but slugs are everywhere.

Found a small handful in the woods yesterday. Bugs seem to be minimal. Last year I didn't keep a single one because of the bugs. In Sheboygan county in an area with Beech trees.

Finding all I can eat and process. Starting to find some kings also. Looking for my fav the hedgehog still... I would also like to point out that it is a damn shame when I see people pull mushrooms out of their bag and they are full of dirt. Its so much easier to slice the dirt off before you bag or basket it. One dirty mushroom will make the whole bag or basket dirty and much harder to process ...just wanted to vent. Had a friend tried to put a bolete in my sack had a half pound of dirt on it lol.

Found a handful of chants and a few hedgehogs in Polk County over the weekend. Grabbed a few oysters too from a tree that was full of them, but most were too far gone.

Was out for hedgehogs yesterday and found a few. Looks to me like they are just coming up good. Only 3 large ones and the rest were quarter sized. This is my first year up here and I found a good looking spot back in june and decided to see if there were any there. I am anticipating a big flush from what I saw yesterday.

Been nice to hear of everyone's finds. Chants have been good to me this year. Finding slightly more than I need. Today most were too buggy, but overall a very good season.
