Found some kings and a mushroom that used to be in the bolete family but is now in the leccinum line ... Anybody eat this one ?   |

I'm still chicken to try the leccinum varieties - I've heard some people can get nasty GI problems. I have been finding some boletes here and there up in Polk County. Haven't found any that were positively kings yet, but the big bi-colors are up so I'm hoping the kings will be here soon. I found (and ate) a boletus pallidus over the weekend and a couple of what appear to be boletus hortonii. Haven't tried those yet.

Well I tried them and they were nothing special but plan on using them in a soup recipe. Found some kings earlier in the year and a couple scaber stalks.
