these aren't just the normal worms... these are intestinal worms, aka tapeworms, etc. cool read though! I guess that this is one of my jokes that needs a road map! ;D By not cleaning our mushrooms as diligently and ingesting a few "extra" shroom bugs and a little shroom dirt, us shroomers will avoid the excessive cleanliness that is thought to be the cause of many autoimmune diseases and we won't have to eat the "therapeutic" worms as referred to in the article. Either way, it looks like worms may be on the menu... Mushin

I thought that chanterelles never get worms. I have never seen a worm in any of my chantys that I pick here in the Northwest and if you like blue or white and yellow Chanty's just give me a call and I will sale you some. I start seeing yellow chanty's about fathers day here on the West Coast and start picking enough to sell about August 15th if not sooner. Blue chantys start showing up late August early September. no worms no bugs, bug free chanterelles. the yellows I pick or not the same as you get on the west coast and they last much longer in the fridge. I live in eastern Washington State and they come on much earlier than they do on the west side of the state do too water already in place from the melting snow then we get the heat real early, April,May set it off start seeing babies popping up by fathers day generated by the 1st of August we should have enough to sell there are real slow growing chanterrlles tell the summer rains come and then they come on like gangbusters.
